It can happen at some point in your relationship—you find you’re in a lull, and you want to recreate the initial spark you had when you first started dating. Good news, that’s normal. Here are some examples of what you can do to reignite excitement with your partner.

Book a Weekend Away

A different setting in a new location can make a difference, especially if you haven’t had much time alone together recently. When you’re both working, that can take a toll on your sex life. Having a few days off, disconnected from the outside world, can allow both of you to spend some much needed time together, and explore the new environment.

Address The Recent Lack of Intimacy

If you notice that you are both lacking a bit of sex drive, it might be due to stress. Maybe it’s due to medications that you are taking. There can be a lot of factors. In women, a low sex drive could be attributed to a dip in the hormone Thyroid, whereas in men it could be due to low testosterone levels.

This can significantly impact your interest in sex, and perhaps explain why there is a lack of any real intimacy between you and your partner. There is a solution, though, to help boost these low levels using testosterone replacement therapy with great results. So it is worth looking into this to see if this may be the issue behind the recent lull in your sex drive.

Feel Confident In Yourself

If you find you are lacking a bit of self confidence and need a boost to help you feel more sexy about yourself then why not get a new haircut or dress yourself up in an outfit that makes you feel confident. Doing something for yourself which is going to help boost your self-esteem a little might help you feel a bit more confident about yourself.

As soon as you start to feel confident in yourself, this will then translate into your relationship. It is not just other people telling you that you look good that will help you feel better, but your own mindset that makes the difference.

Talk To Each Other

Your best solution is to sit down and talk to each other, if you notice that you have not been spending much time together or been intimate. It shouldn’t feel scary or daunting having a conversation like this with your other half if you are well matched. Communication is a key element in your relationship and you should be able to talk to each other about any topic without feeling embarrassed or nervous.
